I'm Alicia, an independent celebrant based in Carshalton, Surrey, creating bespoke ceremonies for weddings, funerals, namings and life's most significant moments across Surrey, London and the Home Counties.

My approach starts with listening. I'll ask questions no one else thought to ask, notice the details that make your story yours and take the time to properly understand what this ceremony means to you before I write a single word. Every script I create belongs entirely to the people at its heart.

What makes my ceremonies different comes down to a rare combination. I trained in acting and theatre, so standing confidently in front of a crowd has never been something I've had to think about. I've spent over two decades working in events, so I understand instinctively what makes a live moment land. And I've worked for years as a freelance writer, crafting words designed to make people feel something. Most celebrants are strong in one of these areas. I bring all three together, every time.

When you work with me, expect a friendly, no pressure conversation to start, followed by a process that feels collaborative rather than transactional. I'll take real care over every detail, keep you involved as your ceremony takes shape, and deliver it on the day with precision, warmth and genuine pride. Couples often tell me it felt like I'd known them for years. That's exactly my aim.
