Hi, I’m Gill, an independent celebrant based in Drayton Bassett, Staffordshire. It's a real privilege to do this incredibly rewarding job, creating and delivering personal ceremonies that are all fundamentally about LOVE.
I believe every ceremony should be as individual as the people at its heart. Whether you are getting married, renewing your vows, welcoming a new member of the family, celebrating a life or saying goodbye to someone you love, I take the time to listen, understand what matters to you and create a ceremony that feels genuine, personal and completely right for you.
For weddings and vow renewals, I love getting to know couples and discovering what makes their relationship unique. I’ll work with you to create a bespoke, heartfelt ceremony in whatever style and tone you are looking for, whether that is relaxed and informal, romantic, fun or a little bit different. On the day, I’ll deliver your ceremony with warmth and genuine care, making sure it feels authentic to you as a couple and creates memories to treasure.
As a funeral celebrant, I can work alongside the funeral director of your choice. I write and officiate beautifully fitting ceremonies for both cremations and burials, creating a warm and meaningful farewell that reflects the life, personality and values of the person being remembered. Of course every family is different, and I will work closely with you to bring together the stories, memories, music, readings and personal touches that truly capture your loved one. If faith is important to you, I am happy to incorporate religious elements such as prayers, hymns or readings.
Sometimes, the funeral isn’t the end of saying goodbye. I also create memorial and celebration of life ceremonies, including ceremonies following a direct cremation or a smaller funeral, giving family and friends the opportunity to come together at a later date to remember and celebrate someone special. These can take place wherever feels meaningful, from a hotel or village hall to a garden, woodland or another favourite venue or location. I can also create a personal ceremony for the scattering or return of a loved one’s ashes.
Whatever the occasion, my aim is simple: to create a ceremony that feels authentic, meaningful and truly personal, and to guide and support you with great care and warmth.
