Funeral Celebrants in Tyne and Wear

Questions

What does a funeral celebrant do?

A funeral celebrant sits with the family, writes a ceremony that sounds like the person, and leads it at the crematorium, cemetery, or a place that belonged to them.

Can a celebrant conduct a non-religious funeral?

Yes. Most funeral celebrants on Ceremony Master will lead a non-religious or loosely spiritual celebration of life. Read the profile for the tone they actually write in.

How do I choose a funeral celebrant?

If you are arranging a funeral or celebration of life, read the biography as if you were hiring a writer. Check that they cover the crematorium, cemetery or burial ground, whether they publish a starting price, and whether the writing sounds like the person you are remembering. Then enquire. The celebrant replies directly.
