Emily Ayres Celebrates

Hello, I’m Emily, an independent celebrant creating modern, warm and completely personal ceremonies across South Wales and beyond.

Whether you’re planning a wedding, renewing your vows, welcoming a child, changing your name, or celebrating the life of someone you love, I’ll work closely with you to create a ceremony that feels genuinely right for you.

Before becoming an independent celebrant, I spent five years working as a registrar and conducted hundreds of weddings. That experience taught me how to confidently guide people through some of life’s biggest moments, while keeping everyone feeling relaxed and supported. I’m also a trained wedding, naming and funeral celebrant, and a member of the Association of Independent Celebrants.

My ceremonies are personal, inclusive and never copied from a standard script. Weddings can include your story, personal vows, readings, handfasting, ring warming, pets, children or anything else that feels like you. Naming ceremonies can celebrate births, adoptions, blended families and renamings, while vow renewals offer a beautiful opportunity to honour everything you’ve shared together.

For funerals and celebrations of life, I take the time to listen carefully and create a fitting, meaningful service that reflects the person at its heart. My approach is calm, compassionate and supportive throughout.

I’m based in Neath and work across Swansea, Neath Port Talbot, Cardiff, Bridgend, the Vale of Glamorgan, Carmarthenshire, Powys and surrounding areas.

Whatever you’re marking, your ceremony should feel like it belongs to you. No awkward traditions for the sake of it. No one-size-fits-all scripts. Just a ceremony filled with the people, stories and moments that matter most. And certainly not an average ceremony!
