I’m Richard, the celebrant behind Smartly Said. Whether you’re planning your wedding or saying goodbye to someone you love, we’ll start with a conversation. You don’t need polished stories or all the answers. I’ll listen, ask thoughtful questions and help you find the words.

For a funeral, I’ll take time to understand the person you’re remembering: their character, their relationships, their familiar sayings and those little details you’d miss if they weren’t there. There’s space for the sadness of goodbye, alongside laughter, gratitude and memories that bring them closer for a moment.
